A product of emotion and countless hours, I worked on this piece for 8 years. The focal is an exceptional slab of polished Specularite, bedded on scaly textured fish leather. Surrounding this large, shimmering starry night crystal, is freeform bead embroidery; including a myriad of eye-catching fine Austrian crystals and other beautiful and unique glass and stone beads. A majority of the skull is laid with hand cut, hand placed black opaque glass.
It was an absolute passion project. In between custom pieces, I learned and used many new and different art techniques on this one skull.
